RONALD J. GENSLER
Committed to the Whole Person Care Approach
Founder Ronald J. Gensler’s personal history has yielded him an intimate understanding and unique perspective of people and how their problems develop over the course of their life.
From his birth in rural Alabama to his moving to sunny California and eventually Japan, Ronald has been fortunate enough to make meaningful and lasting acquaintances and friendships along the way.
Through his upbringing in a small southern town in the 60’s he was a first-hand witness to the inequities of life and the struggles they fostered, be it racial or socioeconomically. Ronald will be the first to tell you of the leadership he witnessed from the elders in the family and community and how their work ethic became a roadmap for where he is today.
Ronald would continue to develop his faith in, and love for people throughout his following years leading up to him working in child development and youth summer programs while still in high school.
Never one to shy away from those in need, no matter how much they had been previously written off or discarded, Ronald always offered motivation or simply a kind word to those in need.
He began his formal training in criminal justice, which branched into the areas of substance abuse, batterers intervention, anger management, and motivational speaking. This road would lead Ron to open a summer learning program for at-risk youth, becoming a championship-winning high school football coach. Ron was also a motivational speaker with the Challenge Day organization.
Respected in his field and community, Ronald is also a loving husband, father, and grandfather once recognized by the USA today as “Father of The Year 1996”. His love and care for the heart of people and his ability to reach them on a personal level are also shared by his loving wife Angela Gensler as well as the entire RJG Collaboration team.
