Individual Placement Support, Employment

We've all needed some form of support during our job search process! Those with severe disabilities often need specialized support(s) to achieve their employment goals. Supported employment is a form of placement that is used in vocational rehabilitation services to provide the needed employment services for individuals who have severe disabilities, such as mental health disorders. The principles of supported employment include community inclusion, competitive integrative placement/employment, and ongoing support services. The individual placement and support model, also known as the IPS model, is considered a form of supported employment that is designed to provide vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with substance use and mental health disorders
